Empowering girls through outdoor adventure and sport
Rise empowers, educates, and connects girls ages 7 - 15 through mentorship-styled workshops, summer camps, events and training programs that aim to get girls involved in sports and outside in nature. Participants are provided with valuable experiences and tools to help develop resiliency, confidence, and a sense of self as they enter adolescence and grow as athletes and leaders.
WHY IT MATTERS
Sport involvement is a key pillar in youth development, and is especially powerful in helping young girls discover their sense of self. Rise workshops use both sport and outdoor adventure to develop six key pillars of wellness in youth.
Confidence
Confidence helps build assertive, positive, engaged, enthusiastic and persistent attitudes, all of which are helpful when facing challenges in sport and throughout life.
Self Awareness
Self awareness is extremely helpful in understanding ones strengths and areas for growth. A true sense of self enhances communication and decision making skills and aids in emotional control.

Community
Community not only enhances support and a sense of belonging, it also builds empathy, team building skills and meaningful connections.

Leadership
Healthy communities are built by strong and thoughtful leaders. Developing leadership skills at a young age translates to improved team and group environments throughout life.

Resilience
One of the greatest tools, resilience allows one to navigate challenging situations with confidence and helps to bounce back from setbacks in sport and life.
Growth
A growth mindset lays at the very foundation of youth development as it drives the desire to build confidence, community, resilience, self awareness and leadership.
