About the Founder
Erica Leitch (She/Her)

A passion project turned community initiative, Rise was born out of Erica's desire to give back to the communities that helped raise her. Having experienced invaluable mentorship and skill building through sport and outdoor adventure she is dedicated to helping give the next generation of female athletes these same opportunities.
Her experience working as a Coach for various organizations including Timbits Hockey and Winsport Skating and Ringette Camps as well as her time spent working as a camp counsellor for Winsport’s Outdoor Adventure Camps, has equipped her with a love for coaching and the skills needed to build and lead engaging programs and activities.
Erica's undergraduate degree in communications has provided her with the knowledge and expertise to connect and communicate effectively with participants, parents and coaches. Her more than 17 years playing competitive sport has given her a strong understanding of the importance of physical literacy, involvement in sport and an active lifestyle for life.
